Foodtrip

2022

Overview

Foodtrip offers culinary experiences across Europe, connecting users with cooking classes and local chefs. After booking, users can view experience details, meet their teachers, and connect with classmates building community even before the class begins. The challenge was to create a seamless flow that supports both discovery and post-booking engagement, while also aligning with the business goals of showcasing quality experiences and encouraging user connection. Step 1: Facilitated a workshop with stakeholders to align on business goals and user needs. Conducted card sorting and competitor analysis to map out the core structure and understand mental models. Step 2: Applied the Google Design Sprint framework to move quickly from ideation to prototyping. Early concepts were tested with real users to validate assumptions and refine navigation. Step 3: Final designs focused on simplifying the booking process and enriching the experience preview—highlighting hosts, activities, and classmate connections to foster anticipation and engagement.
