Overview

TEO is a mobile app that blends event discovery with social interaction. Designed for both users and creators, TEO helps people find local events—like concerts, comedy shows, and tours—while giving creators tools to share content and engage with their communities in real time. The challenge was to design multiple experiences that serves very different user groups: attendees, event creators, venue owner and gig workers. Step 1: Mapped the core needs of both audiences through interviews and market research. Identified shared pain points like unclear event details and lack of social connection around events. Step 2: Conducted qualitative research through in-depth interviews and field studies with both users and creators. This helped uncover emotional drivers behind event attendance, key frustrations, and what motivates creators to build communities. Step 3: Designed and tested user flows—focusing on event discovery, ticket saving, and content sharing for users, and event creation and promotion tools for creators. Step 4: Built interactive prototypes and ran usability tests to validate key flows. Iterated on design details like social feed dynamics, notification systems, and how recommendations were surfaced.
